Anoushka is a British-American musician and sitarist. She's the smallest woman and the first to receive a British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is a rising young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is the daughter of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was born 1982 in London. Her early years were split in London as well as New Delhi. At New Delhi, she made her first appearance at only 13 years old. After that, she relocated to Encinitas CA, where she received her High School diploma with honors in 1999. In 2002 she published a book entitled Bapi The love of My Live this is a picture-based biography, which gives a special honor to her late father Ravi Shankar.
